November 2025 – After 36 months of innovation, the EM-TECH project is ready to share…
Traxial Reaches Key EM-TECH Milestone with Next-Generation Axial Flux Motor

Our engineering team has successfully developed a high-performance axial flux motor that addresses a critical challenge in electric vehicle design: achieving higher power density while dramatically reducing rare earth material usage.
Key Performance Specifications:
⚡ Peak power: 232 kW @ 800 V
🌀 Peak torque: 325 Nm
📏 Total axial length: 99 mm (including housing)
💪 Gravimetric power density: >9.5 kW/kg | Volumetric power density: >30 kW/l (including housing)
🌿 Total magnet mass: <1 kg | Heavy rare earth content: <0.5% of total magnet mass
This compact, modular motor is designed for scalable production and integration into B & C segment vehicles—delivering a powerful and sustainable drivetrain solution for OEMs.
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸: This achievement is part of the EM-TECH project, a 36-month European Commission-funded initiative under the Towards Zero Emission Road Transport (2Zero) partnership.
As a key partner alongside 10 organizations across 6 countries, TRAXIAL is contributing specialized expertise in axial flux motor technology to advance Europe’s leadership in sustainable transportation.
This milestone demonstrates that high power density and sustainability aren’t mutually exclusive—they’re the foundation of Europe’s transition to greener mobility solutions.
