Meet Jérémy, Mechanical Engineer at Magnax – Traxial
Originally from Rennes in the west of France, Jérémy studied mechanical engineering across France and Italy before cutting his teeth in automotive — first on crash-test validation at Faurecia, then on dual-clutch transmissions for the Corvette C8 and Maserati MC20 at Tremec in Belgium.
An early interest in electrification eventually pulled him toward Magnax, where he’s found himself, as he puts it, at the heart of innovation, surrounded by a team full of talented engineers who inspire him every day. We sat down with him to talk about his path here, what his role looks like day-to-day, and what keeps him going.
What does your role actually involve day-to-day?
I am working with the design team on the development of our new motor design from the initial 3D concept to the building of the prototype. I also help define priorities across Operations, Mechanical, and Materials to ensure our activities are aligned.
In R&D at Magnax, you won’t fall into a routine. There’s always something new to learn and a challenge to take on.
What do you do outside of work?
I split between family time, doing sports (running, cycling, and basketball) and cooking food. I’m also quite good at learning languages, currently speaking four fluently (French, English, Spanish and Italian).
